Forge of Empires, which just celebrated its fifth anniversary, has been played for a total of 164’000 years around the world and was first released as a browser game. Two years after the start of the browser version, InnoGames released dedicated mobile versions for iOS and Android devices. The apps offer full cross-platform functionality: Players can use the same account on all platforms and switch back and forth. The app instantly became one of the top five new strategy titles for iOS in 2014 and won Google’s “Best of Games 2015”. Additionally, the title has been awarded as “Best Browser Game 2013” at the German Computer Game Award (Deutscher Computerspielpreis).
With a revenue of EUR 130 million in 2016, InnoGames is one of the world's leading developers and providers of online games.
